As dedicated and knowledgeable Event Planners, Simply Good Times endeavour to know as much about our events as possible, so we can organise the best possible events for our customers. So when we were invited to the annual London Whisky Weekender, we couldn’t really say no! Ideal for both the dedicated Whisky enthusiasts, or those who wish to expand their horizons from Gentleman Jack or Jack Daniels (both incredibly delicious and a staple on the home bar kart ‘FYI’).
The festival showcases some of the UK’s homegrown Whisky brands, along with a handful of worldwide labels which you may (or may not) have heard of. Ticket holders were given a London Whisky Festival Logo Dram to take home, tasting sheets, a bottle of water (or five), two tokens for the use of tasting an exclusive under-the-counter tipple, the option to take part in a Cocktail Masterclass on the rooftop and an array of Whiskies to taste. Either way, you were guaranteed an exciting and fun time!
Each table was represented by a particular brand of Whisky, with up to 10 different bottles to taste and a knowledgeable informant on how each bottle is created. Ranging from smooth and crisp, to peaty and perspiring (yes, some really did make you sweat), you were bound to find your favourite.
The Festival Coordinators were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the event was very popular!
