Event Details:
Best-man Steven contacted us as he was struggling to find a suitable standard package for his best-mate Jamie's stag weekend. Steven thought that a Simply Good Times bespoke event package could be most suitable for the stag party plans – he was right!
Initially concerned that a bespoke package would be beyond the group's budget; Steven was suitably pleased to hear that we could provide the perfect personalised stag-event solution within their price range. Stag party groups can be notoriously loose with plans and Jamie's stag group were no exception. Best-man Steven's only stipulations were that most of the boys are poker mad and he'd like to fit in a casino trip somehow, and that the venue should be around an hour from London. The only other consideration was that the majority of guests all live in the capital, so wanted to escape the smog and get out in the country air (but not too far from a good city for a Saturday night party!).
We suggested a weekend event hosted at a large, homely countryside Manor House near Witney in Oxfordshire along with some great extras. Steven and the rest of Jamie's stag group loved the idea and initial event proposal, and after a little negotiation the following splendid, bespoke stag package was provided and much merriment ensued:
Friday: Arrival, Dinner, Poker, and Drinks!
16.30 Stag group arrives at Manor to be greeted with a full fridge and cold beers from the supermarket delivery arranged for the group and stocked by housekeeping earlier in the day.
18.00 Catering staff arrive and start preparing a three-course dinner party for the stags.
18.30 Private casino croupier and equipment arrives and is set up in games room for post-dinner poker.
19.00 Three-course dinner and drinks served in the grand dining room.
21.00 Guests retire to games room for a professional croupier hosted Poker tournament and more drinks.
Saturday: Activities and Party Night
09.30 Bacon & egg breakfast at house prepared by best-man Steven.
10.30 Locally arranged 16 seat minibus collects group and delivers to nearby activity site.
11.00 Group welcomed to activity site with a cuppa and safety briefing on activities: Dirt Buggies, Quad Bikes, Clay Shooting, and Archery.
11.30 Group splits in half with each group of 8x taking part in one hour of Dirt Buggies and a Clay Pigeon Shooting competition.
13.30 Lunch break all together with sandwich selection and soft drinks, plus more tea and biscuits.
14.30 Group splits again enjoys an hour each of Quad Bike Rambling and an Archery Tournament.
16.30 Group is collected by minibus and delivered to the Manor to prepare for the night-time party.
19.00 Minibus collects group again and delivers to an Oxford Brasserie where a private table for sixteen has been reserved.
21.00 After dinner the group heads into Oxford visiting some pre-recommended bars and to hit some surprise spots!
23.00 The group heads to The Bridge Club and their reserved area complete with Champagne in the VIP room to party the night away!
03.00 Minibus collects (most of) group from nightclub door (the rest would resurface at Manor later in taxis!).
Sunday:
Group spends day relaxing at The Manor enjoying the on-site hot-tub and sport on the huge TV while nursing sore heads! Those having to work on Monday morning depart in the late afternoon, while the remaining guests order Indian takeaway and neck the remaining beers!
Monday:
10.00 Final guests depart after a 'massively successful and memorable Stag'!
