The sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding originated in Hawaii. It uses big surf boards which are 11 feet long and an adapted paddle to combine elements of surfing and kayaking. The activity doubles as a core fitness exercise stretching stomach muscles making it an exciting and fun way to stay fit.
What happens on the day?
Run by highly experienced and friendly BSUPA instructors all specialised equipment is provided, including wetsuits. Suitable for complete beginners or those with a little experience! Group sizes are kept to a maximum of 6 people per instructor. Master the basics of the board, balance and to paddle the board in all directions. All guests need to bring is an old pair of shoes you don't mind getting wet, towel and swim wear. Wetsuit, buoyancy aid and SUP equipment hire is included.
Who is it for?
Anybody who wants to try this exciting new sport – the event is particularly popular with Stag & Hen Parties all summer.
